Welton Investment Corporation

The scientific pursuit of investment returns

Welton is founded on the scientific pursuit of investment returns, a formal process founded on two core principles.

Every research hypothesis must withstand the scientific method of evaluation.

The research process frequently yields promising investment ideas, but only a fraction of these are ever deemed suitable after objective, data-driven scrutiny.  This method of evaluation dictates that investment hypotheses must be defined, tested, and all resulting data evaluated objectively.  Only after a preponderance of validating evidence and internal peer review confirmation does Welton consider an investment theory worthy of consideration.

Commitment to the culture of continuous improvement.

Welton approaches the general management of the firm with the same fact-based approach it employs in its investment research.  Borrowing proven managerial methods from quality movement philosophies like TQM (total quality management), Welton seeks continuous process improvement across the organization—areas including investment research, trade execution, risk management, IT, compliance and client service.
