Welton congratulates Douglas Bry (Welton Investment Partners) and Ernest Jaffarian (Efficient Capital) who won contested elections to the National Futures Association’s (NFA’s) Board of Directors, and also Adam Cooper (Citadel) and Brendan Kalb (AQR) who ran unopposed.
The NFA Board election results for the contested elections in the CPO/CTA category were posted in a notice to members on January 20, 2016. Bry and Jaffarian are returning candidates, having served on the NFA board for the past four years.
Since joining the Board, they have been successful in pursuing a number of initiatives including having public directors to the NFA Board selected individually by written ballot and requiring all NFA Examiners to also be Certified Fraud Examiners.
Their impact as board members has not gone unnoticed and it garnered them much support and many endorsements during their campaign for re-election.
“Douglas and Ernest have proven themselves as strong advocates in areas like fraud detection and prevention, and greater investment manager accountability in cases of misconduct. These issues are important for the industry, and investors,” said Patrick Welton, CEO of Welton Investment Partners.
Congratulations to Bry and Jaffarian on their re-election. Welton Investment Partners wishes them continued success in their roles as NFA board members.
